Since 1994, the Alaska Tribal Conference on Environmental Management has been a vital networking space for tribal environmental professionals from across the state to learn from one another, connect with support organizations and agencies, and discover resources to help assist in efforts to improve local environmental health. This year’s event is hosted by Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium’s Community Environment and Health department in partnership with environmental professionals from all sectors. The conference will feature six tracks: capacity building, community infrastructure, contaminated sites, one health (about food and water security, contaminant monitoring, and human-animal-environment connections), resilience, and solid and hazardous waste. The event includes four days of general sessions, informational sessions and trainings, networking with exhibitors, keynotes, and performers.
