2024 AAEYC Conference

The 2024 Anchorage Association for the Education of Young Children (AAEYC) Conference will kick off February 29 with an afternoon of pre-conference workshops. The theme this year is “Healthy Communities, Healthy Children.” Keynote speakers will be Tom Hobson, known as “Teacher Tom,” a preschool teacher in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle who posts daily on Teacher Tom’s Blog, and Dr. Linda Chamberlain, founder of the Alaska Family Violence Prevention, author of the “Amazing Brain” series of books, and an epidemiologist specializing in childhood exposure to violence and brain development who left her position as a senior scientist in 2017 to focus full-time on teaching resilience-building skills.
