The newest member of the Alaska Business Publishing Company team has been part of the magazine’s extended family for years. As Staff Writer, Rindi White formalizes her previous status as a freelance writer and editor. Her byline has appeared in Alaska Business many times, and she has a regular role as editor of The Alaska Contractor, a quarterly magazine for the Associated General Contractors of Alaska. Her new responsibilities include writing regularly for Alaska Business and posting articles and event notices to the akbizmag.com website.
Writing is a byproduct of White’s obsession with reading. She recalls burying her nose in a book during the hour-long bus ride to school while growing up in Montana. White earned a degree in English literature at Montana State University in Bozeman and learned the journalism trade at the campus newspaper. She worked for the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman for five years and was part of the Valley reporting team for the Anchorage Daily News. As a freelancer, she wrote for The Alaska Contractor, ten years before she became its editor.
We’re honored again this year to celebrate our partnership with Junior Achievement of Alaska, a nonprofit that educates local youth about enterprise, business, money, and financial literacy. In the special section, three Junior Achievement of Alaska students weigh in on their experience with the exceptional volunteers and teachers involved with the program.
And in Industry Support, we explore the range of varied services that industry in Alaska requires, from mancamps to spill response to off-grid energy solutions.
Outside the special sections, make sure to check out the 2026 Economic forecast, where Alaska leaders share their insights on what may lie ahead in the coming year. Enjoy!
