The event features all things Scottish: bagpipes, heavy athletics, Highland Dance, drumming, Gathering O’ the Clans, Birds of Prey, Kilted Mile, salmon tossing, Highland Coo, tug-of-war, Celtic marketplace, historical demonstrations, shortbread baking competition, live music, Scottish Strongman, Haggis-eating contest, Midnight Sun Spurtle Challenge, children’s events, a tea tent, food trucks, scotch, mead, and bourbon tasting, and more. Musical guests include Screaming Orphans and Harp Twins, featuring the Volfgang Twins. Free parking is available at the Red Gate entrance to the Alaska State Fairgrounds.
