Alaska USA Federal Credit Union announces new executive appointments

Anchorage, Alaska – Alaska USA Federal Credit Union has appointed two individuals to executive level positions.

Jessica Graham has been selected to fill the new position of Senior Vice President, General Counsel. Graham comes to Alaska USA with 14 years of in-house corporate law experience, most recently as General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer, Koniag Native Corporation. Graham also clerked for the Chief Justice of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Graham holds a degree in Law from the Law School of Duke University and has served on the board of the Alaska Bar Association.

Tom Newins has been selected to fill the position of Chief Operations Officer. Newins comes to Alaska USA with more than 25 years of executive-level credit union experience, including President/CEO of a credit union with more than $1 billon in assets.

Newins holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and graduated with honors from the Western CUNA Management School.

“Jessica is the ideal candidate to support the continued growth and expansion of the credit union while ensuring that Alaska USA’s regulatory compliance remains exceptional within the industry,” said Geoff Lundfelt, President, Alaska USA.

“And Tom’s experience and track record with credit unions present him as the best person to strategically lead our operations management. We’re extremely pleased to have Jessica and Tom as part of Alaska USA’s leadership team.”
