AFP Alaska Chapter Announces 7 Alaska Philanthropy Day Awards
The Association of Fundraising Professionals, AFP Alaska Chapter announced seven Alaska Philanthropy Day 2020 Awardees advancing philanthropy and leading and inspiring change across the state.
AFP Alaska Chapter President Cynthia Libby says, “The Association of Fundraising Professionals advances philanthropy by enabling people and organizations to practice effective and ethical fundraising through education, training, mentoring, research, credentialing, and advocacy.”
“Hosted by AFP, Alaska Philanthropy Day recognizes the contributions of philanthropy and those active in the philanthropic community,” AFP Alaska Chapter President-Elect Dr. Sandra Ehrlich adds. “It provides an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of giving and all that it makes possible.”
This year’s range of award recipients represents a diverse picture of the Alaska philanthropic community. The awards honor the dedication and commitment of seven exceptional foundations, corporations, and individuals to lead and inspire change in the nonprofit sector. The Association of Fundraising Professionals Alaska Chapter will celebrate these awardees during Alaska Philanthropy Day on November 13, 2020.

The Alaska Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is Alaska’s only professional organization for fundraisers. It offers its statewide members professional development opportunities to network and connect with colleagues and to engage in creative thinking to advance philanthropy in Alaska’s nonprofit sector.
