Lynden Logistics Announces Executive Promotions

Dec 7, 2021 | Right Moves, Transportation

Lynden Logistics, known until September as Lynden International, promoted some top executives, including one at its Anchorage branch. Dennis Mitchell has been named Senior Vice President of Freight Operations, directing transportation services focused on the key markets of Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

Prior to this, Mitchell’s title was “senior vice president, international.” Mitchell has been with Lynden for 27 years after owning his own customs brokerage firm in Anchorage from 1986 to 1994. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and supply chain management from the University of Alaska and is a licensed customs broker. Mitchell is also the former chair of the board of directors for the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation.

Lynden Logistics also promoted Stuart Nakayama as its new President, replacing John Kaloper, who retired as of November 30. He will be based in Seattle. Nakayama was previously vice president of trade development. And in Ontario, Brian MacAskill becomes Vice President of Logistics.

“All three of these individuals have contributed greatly to the success of Lynden throughout the years and demonstrated their leadership and commitment,” says Alex McKallor, Lynden’s Executive Vice President and COO. “Each brings specific strengths and experience to ensure that our customers continue to receive the high level of service and innovation that Lynden is known for.”
