Cook Inlet Region, Incorporated (CIRI) is showcasing handmade Alaska Native and Indian arts and crafts at its Sixth Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar on Saturday, December 7. The event is open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is located at the Fireweed Business Center at 725 E. Fireweed Lane. The event is open to the public.
The event will host approximately sixty artists selling a wide range of unique and gorgeous handmade items, such as hand-woven baskets, mukluks, kuspuks, ivory carvings, beadwork, jewelry, and more.
A silent auction will also be held to benefit Cook Inlet Tribal Council’s (CITC) Gift Basket program. The Christmas Basket program provides gift cards to low-income families to purchase holiday presents for their children—and hosts a family holiday celebration featuring cultural activities, games, crafts, refreshments, and photos with Santa.
