Gray Market Goods in China and Recording IP with US Customs and Border Protection

March 24, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am

Two more China IP webinars have been added to the series.  Join U.S. Commercial Service at 8:00 AM Alaska Time on March 24th and 25th as two lawyers share their knowledge on Gray Market Goods in China and Recording IP with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.  Each webinar will have Q&A at the end so you may ask the lawyers questions.

Gray Market Goods in China – March 24, 2020

Gray market goods are manufactured abroad and imported into China without the consent of the trademark holder. They are not counterfeits and therefore pose special enforcement issues. Please join us at 12:00 noon EDT on Tuesday, 24 March 2020, as lawyer Catherine Zheng, a partner at Deacons in Hong Kong, explains the law in China.

Recording IP with U.S. Customs and Border Protection – March 25, 2020

After you have registered a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, you may record that trademark registration with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to assist CBP in its efforts to prevent the importation of goods that infringe your registered mark. Please join us at 12:00 noon EDT on 25 March 2020 as U.S. Customs and Border lawyer Alaina van Horn, working in the Office of the U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator, explains the process.

The dial-in number for both webinars is the same:
