Anchorage Community Development Authority Selects New Parking Director for EasyPark
Anchorage, Alaska; June 30, 2014- Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA), which oversees parking in downtown Anchorage and land development for the Municipality of Anchorage, has named Brian Borguno as its new Parking Director.
Mr. Borguno, who has over nine years of parking experience working with a private management company, will be in charge of managing ACDA’s parking division, EasyPark.
"The selection process was extensive and quite a few experienced parking professionals were interviewed,” noted Ron Pollock, Executive Director of ACDA. "Brian Borguno’s comprehensive understanding of parking will greatly benefit ACDA, downtown Anchorage, and the public."
Before joining ACDA, Mr. Borguno worked as the Operations Manager for Park Cedar Rapids in Iowa. During this time downtown Cedar Rapids was experiencing economic redevelopment due to flood recovery efforts stemming from a 2008 flood which included the rebuilding of the parking system. While at Park Cedar Rapids, he oversaw the day to day operations of enforcement, meter collections, facility maintenance, security, administrative, special events, and implemented new parking technologies to help reconstruct the parking operation.
Prior to Park Cedar Rapids, Mr. Borguno worked as the Operations Assistant Manager in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While at Ann Arbor, he was exposed to large scale events that heavily impacted parking operations, including the University of Michigan football games.
Mr. Borguno is a Graduate with Distinction from University of Michigan-Dearborn obtaining a Bachelor in Arts degree with an emphasis of Economics, Communications and Film.
