SUMMARY:All Alaska Pediatric Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Photo Credit: All Alaska Pediatric Partnership \n \n \n \n \n \n The Pediatric Symposium is the All Alaska Pediatric Partnership’s largest annual event and hosts a notable list of local and national speakers recognized as leading experts in their field. The symposium offers Alaska’s community of healthcare providers and professionals a forum in which to learn about evidence-based best practices and innovative developments in pediatric healthcare\, while also providing a venue perfect for networking with fellow colleagues.\nWe received overwhelming positive feedback from the 2024 attendees and are eager to build on that momentum with an even stronger program in 2025. The 2024 Symposium featured a diverse lineup of local and national experts\, with sessions covering topics such as gene therapy\, hearing loss\, hip dysplasia\, Type 1 diabetes screening and prevention\, pediatric anxiety\, and soft tissue sarcomas and retinoblastoma. A highlight of the event was the panel discussion on the future of pediatrics\, moderated by Dr. Anne Zink\, former chief medical officer for the Alaska Department of Health. The panel challenged attendees to consider their role as advocates and experts in shaping pediatric systems of care.
