Practicum in Public Health Scholarship Available

The University of Alaska Foundation announces the availability of the
Practicum in Public Health Scholarship available to graduate students
enrolled in the Master of Public Health. The minimum award is $3,600
for the 2010-2011 academic year.

This scholarship is intended to be used for the support of studies in
the field of Public Health, focused specifically in Alaska. Applicants
must be willing to commit to a minimum of 240 hours of practicum over
the course of a year to an organization within Alaska to support their
master dissertation. Applicants must be an Alaskan resident enrolled
in a Master of Public Health program. Alaska Native/American Indian
students are preferred, however, all students interested in pursuing a
career related to tribal health will be considered.

Applicant must submit a resume and a letter of commitment to practicum
signed by both the applicant and mentor organization. The deadline for
applying is June 15, 2010.
