Hageland Hires New Director of Safety

We are pleased to announce that Stu Greene has joined the Hageland Aviation Team as our new Director of Safety. Stu brings more than 17 years of professional experience managing a wide range of activities from Aviation Operatons to Oil and Gas Logistics, Aviation Safety Management, and Accident Investigation and Prevention. Stu received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virgin- ia in Charlottesville, VA.
After graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corps as a CH-46 helicopter pilot and squadron safety officer. As a Marine, he earned his certificate of Aviation Accident Investigation and Safety Program Management from the Naval Postgraduate School. After leaving the Service, Stu followed his dream to move to Alaska and spent the summer of 2007 exploring the State, including a successful summit bid of Denali. Since then, Stu has worked in Alaska as a commercial pilot, airfield safety manager, Oil and Gas consultant, and most recently as a Logistics and Aviation Operations/Contract Manager for Shell Oil. He understands the challenges of working in the state and will be an excellent addition to the team. Stu is married to wife Grace, and has two young children. In his free time he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, fishing, and flying his 1960 Super Cub.
