“Forget the Fine” Food Drive Raises $20,000 in Food Donations
Anchorage Community Makes Food Donation Campaign a Success
Anchorage, AK – September 19, 2017
EasyPark’s “Forget the Fine”, a unique event that offered community members the opportunity to donate food in exchange for credit towards their outstanding parking violations, collected $20,000 of food donations to benefit the Food Bank of Alaska. The month long promotion was the first of its kind ever held in Anchorage.
“The Anchorage community really came together to make this event a success,” said Parking Director, Brian Borguno, of EasyPark. “The best part of the campaign was that people were bringing in more than was required.
“We value EasyPark for hosting a unique and beneficial food drive for Food Bank of Alaska. We are able to provide meals to our hungry neighbors in need with this generous donation, said Jim Baldwin, Executive Director of Food Bank of Alaska.
