New Design Focuses on Customer Experience
New AT&T store in Wasilla
WASILLA, ALASKA, NOVEMBER 6, 2015 — Visitors to AT&T’s* new Wasilla store will be some of the first to experience a shopping transformation. The new store at 1865 E Parks Highway, Wasilla, AK 99654 is designed so they can explore and interact with the latest technology.
Customers can check out solutions, devices and accessories across 3 unique zones:
- Connected Experience Zone: “lifestyle vignettes” show how products can be used everyday. It highlights music, home security, entertainment and more.
- Community Zone: visitors can shop and play at interactive “community tables.” It displays apps, accessories and devices so customers can see how they can work together.
- Explore Zone: “explore walls” show a variety of AT&T’s devices and accessories next to digital monitors explaining how they work.
“Shoppers at our Wasilla store will have an interactive experience that fits their mobile lifestyle,” said Scott Meyers, Sales Director, AT&T Alaska. “We want to provide an exceptional experience, and we’ve been working hard to take our stores and network to a new level here in Wasilla.”
A Better Experience
Customers will be able to have a mobile shopping experience. Instead of “cash-register” counters, they’ll find round café-style “learning tables.” They can chat with a AT&T retail consultant there to ask questions or learn about a product or service. All retail consultants carry a tablet so they can to help customers anywhere in the store.
The store uses digital signage, e-brochures and interactive video monitors to give customers they information they want at their fingertips.
The new store is the latest example of the investment already made in Alaska. AT&T invested nearly $200 million in its network in Alaska during the past three years. AT&T has 19 company-owned and authorized agent retail locations throughout Alaska and employs approximately 500 people across the state.
