GCI launches LTE in Kodiak, will celebrate with customer appreciation BBQ

Anchorage, Alaska – GCI is hosting a customer appreciation BBQ in Kodiak to celebrate the launch of 4G LTE data speeds. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Sunday, June 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Kodiak Harbor Convention Center and will be catered by the Best Western Kodiak Inn. 

 

GCI customers in Kodiak will now be able to enjoy 4G LTE speeds and improved coverage. These customers will continue to have the benefit of Alaska’s largest wireless network, which is dedicated to offering the best coverage instate, as well as 4G LTE coverage across the U.S. This upgrade is part of GCI’s ongoing commitment to provide Alaskans with the best and fastest communication technology available.

One of Sunday’s highlights will be the two 25,000 Alaska Airlines mileage certificate giveaways. Event attendees will also have a chance to win one Galaxy S7 edge and Gear VR, one iPad Pro, one set of Beats Solo2 headphones and one iPhone SE. Guests will also enjoy a GCI tech tent, a photo area, GCI swag and a special Snapchat geo-filter.
