The Role of the Oil and Gas Industry in Anchorage’s Economy

ANCHORAGE – Every three years, McDowell Group conducts a thorough analysis of the oil and gas industry's economic impact in Alaska, including regional information. Join members of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce and the Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA) for “Make it Monday” on September 25, 2017 as McDowell Group’s, Donna Logan, describes the latest findings on what has changed for Anchorage since the last report was published in 2014.
AOGA President and CEO, Kara Moriarty, will speak about the status of the state’s largest economic driver, upcoming challenges, and future oil and gas development prospects.
The “Make it Monday” forum will be held at a new location, The Lakefront Anchorage, from Noon to 1 pm. Doors open at 11:30 am. General admission is $35. $30 for Anchorage Chamber members ($32 at the door), and $15 for students with a valid ID. Lunch is provided with admission. The Anchorage Chamber's "Make it Monday" forum is the city's No. 1 weekly luncheon, offering current and relevant educational presentations from a variety of speakers. More than 45 programs are provided annually with the number of attendees ranging from 50 up to as many as 150 a week.
