ANCHORAGE – December 20, 2017- The Alaska Oil and Gas Association’s (AOGA) President & CEO Kara Moriarty released the following statement today in response to the passage of the tax reform bill, which includes a provision to open a small portion of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to energy development.
“AOGA stands with the large majority of Alaskans who celebrate the historic achievement of finally realizing the opportunity for a lease sale in a small portion of ANWR. We appreciate the Alaska Congressional delegation’s leadership on this effort, which offers incredible potential for Alaska jobs, revenue, and energy security. While the process ahead is a long one, today’s development puts Alaska closer than ever to realizing its full energy potential.”
