Pogo Mine recognized as the 2015 Outstanding Corporation in Philanthropy

(Anchorage, ALASKA) – The Association of Fundraising Professionals Alaska Chapter is proud to announce our 2015 Outstanding Corporation in Philanthropy, Pogo Mine - Sumitomo MetalMining Pogo LLC.

“Whether it is to address health, advanced educational support of engineering and business, children's education, safety, leadership development, community engagement, literacy, fine arts, youth sports, STEM programs, or news & information, Pogo's support benefits Alaskans of all ages and all backgrounds,” says nominator and incoming AFP Alaska Chapter President, Gretchen Gordon. “Pogo's support and volunteerism goes to organizations that help Alaskans in need, while also supporting education in Alaska that helps folks stand on their own two feet. Some of the most profound impacts accomplished by Pogo's gift support can be seen through organizations supporting families and improving the quality of life.”

On Friday, November 20th at the Dena’ina Convention Center Pogo Mine – Sumitomo Metal Mining Pogo LLC will receive the 2015 Outstanding Corporation in Philanthropy at the 27th Annual Alaska Philanthropy Day Award Luncheon.
