Z. J. Loussac Public Library Back to Normal Hours Beginning May 23rd
The public elevators are once again operational.
Anchorage, Alaska – 5/18/2016 – The Loussac Library will return to normal operating hours on Monday, May 23rd, when the two public elevators between levels 1 – 4 will again be open to the public. Sunday hours remain unaffected with Loussac open from 1 –5 pm.
“We are so grateful about how gracious and understanding our patrons have been during this difficult time. It was wonderful to see staff and patrons alike keeping their eyes on the prize – a beautiful, updated and more functional library,” stated Mary Jo Torgeson, Director of the Anchorage Public Library.
Children’s storytime will resume at Loussac on Tuesday, May 31st. The public is encouraged to check the APL event calendar online at www.anchoragelibrary.org to verify times and locations for events.
The Innovation Lab and the Alaska Room will reopen on May 23rd as well; however, we ask the public to be mindful that access may still be impacted due to ongoing construction.
