ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – This Halloween, the Alaska Railroad will offer a brand new, special event train for all ages, complete with costumes, crafting, tasty treats and more. With departures at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 22, the Alaska Railroad Kid’s Halloween Train will travel 2.5 hours round-trip from Anchorage to Indian.

Onboard the Kid’s Halloween Train, passengers will enjoy monster-size fun, including entertainment from a magician, crafts, balloon animals, Halloween-themed Bingo, a raffle and coloring contest. Tickets are $59 for adults and $34 for children ages 2-11. Children under age two are considered “infant in lap” and ride for free with an accompanying adult. “It’s always very exciting for us to offer families new options to explore the Last Frontier,” said Bruce LaLonde, director of guest services and passenger marketing at Alaska Railroad. “Our Holiday Train and Easter Train have always been popular and often sell out. We expect the demand to be just as high for the new Kid’s Halloween Train.”

In addition to this new, kid-friendly Halloween Train, Alyeska Resort is hosting its annual Alyeska Halloween Train for those who are age 21 and over. For more information about this adult-only, special event train visit: https://www.alaskarailroad.com/ride-a-train/event-trains/halloween-train.
