Pokémon GO Players Invited to Fair

Palmer, Alaska – Love Pokémon GO? Then you are going to want to GO to the Alaska State Fair for PokéDay on Tuesday, August 30.

The special day will include team meet-ups, PokéStops with all-day Lures, and photos with Pikachu. There will also be a sing-a-long/karaoke contest of the Pokémon theme song, Pokémon cosplay fashion show and contest, and a Gym battle with prizes for the winners.

The PokéDay schedule of events features:

 

·         1 - 7pm, PokéHunt scavenger hunt check-in and photos with Pikachu, Craftsman House

·         1 – 7pm, Gym battle check-in, Craftsman House

·         4pm, Pokémon GO Team Instinct meet-up, Craftsman House

·         5pm, Pokémon cosplay fashion show and contest, Alyeska Pipeline Colony Stage (register 30 minutes prior to the event at the venue)

·         5:30pm, Pokémon theme song karaoke contest and sing-a-long, Alyeska Pipeline Colony Stage (register 30 minutes prior to the event at the venue)

·         6pm, Pokémon GO Team Mystic meet-up, Craftsman House

·         7pm, Pokémon GO Team Valor meet-up, Craftsman House

 

Fairgoers will receive special badges for catching a Pokémon at the Fair. There will also be chances to win prizes by posting pictures of a Pokémon on the fairgrounds and tagging it with #ASFGo.

The Fair has compiled a list of tips to assist fairgoers with their Pokémon training efforts, including important information on safety. Find the Pokemon GO Player’s Guide on the Fair website.
