See the Arctic, its people and landscape through the lens of Iñupiaq photographer Brian Adams. Adams travels to Inuit communities throughout the Alaska Arctic to capture Inuit (Iñupiat, Yup’ik, Cup’ik and St. Lawrence Island Yupik) life, culture and society through photographs and short stories for I Am Inuit.

Participants can hone observation skills through a self-guided life drawing session. $15 adult, $5 student. Includes Polar Nights admission.

Artist Talk with Brian Adams

7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24

Photographer Brian Adams opens his new exhibition I Am Inuit with a gallery talk about his work, process and inspiration. Included with admission. Select galleries and spaces are open late every Friday, and museum admission is discounted during Polar Nights.

From robotics to chain reactions to designing comics, the museum’s spring break workshops will keep kids age 7-12 engaged and learning this March. Members receive a 10 percent discount.

Adult Art Class: Drawing with Charcoal
10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Taught by artist Karl Koett, this class is for students at all levels seeking to develop their skills in charcoal. LEARN MORE

Muse Wine Tasting

5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18
Sample wines from Alias Winery in Muse restaurant, including chardonnay, cabernet and pinot noir. Ages 21 and older. Flights are $25.

Painting Night at Muse:
Fireweed wine glasses

6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 9
Gather friends for an evening of socializing and painting in Muse restaurant. Create two beautiful fireweed wine glasses with local artist Christina Wilson. To spark your creativity, add on a beverage or appetizer from Muse’s special menu. $45, museum members receive a 10 percent discount; includes instruction and materials. Food and beverages are extra.
