Alaska dancers vie for chance in Broadway in Anchorage production

Anchorage, AK – Anchorage Concert Association and Plan B Entertainment are casting “Billy Elliot the Musical,” coming to Anchorage Feb. 14-19. Set in a northern English mining town against the background of the 1984 miners' strike, Billy Elliot is the celebration of one boy’s journey to make his dreams come true. Alaska performers will audition for roles in Billy’s ballet class.

Anchorage Concert Association and Plan B Entertainment are seeking: Ballet Girls (Angela Robson, Tracey Atkinson, Keeley Gibson, Tina Harmer). Female to play ages 8-12. Anchorage Concert Association is also bringing local performers together with national talent this weekend. Alaska Children’s Choir will sing with Grammy-nominated David Benoit Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2-3, at the Discovery Theatre in David Benoit Christmas Tribute to Charlie Brown.
