Alaska Native Village Energy Development Workshop

April 29-30, 2014

Presented by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Tribal Energy Program and Office of Indian Energy, the Alaska Native Village Energy Development workshop will take place April 29-30 in Anchorage as a lead-in to the Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP) Business of Clean Energy in Alaska Conference May 1-2. The workshop is designed to help Alaska Native villages and corporations understand the range of energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities that exist in their remote communities. Part of an overall effort to further support and encourage accelerated clean energy resource development in Alaska Native villages, the workshop will cover topics such as: 

  • Strategic energy planning
  • Clean energy project development and financing
  • Technology updates
  • Energy efficiency
  • Weatherization
  • Workforce development

Registration and Lodging
There is no cost to attend the workshop, but participants will be responsible for their own lodging, meals, and travel costs. Visit the REAP website for lodging recommendations. Online registration closes April 17. Register now. Although online registration closes tomorrow, on-site registration will be available.
