James Oliver joins WHPacific as Vice President, Water and Environment

WHPacific is pleased to announce James “Jim” Oliver, RG joins as Vice President of Water and Environment and will lead this new department for the firm. Jim will focus on furthering the strong reputation that WHPacific has developed within the municipal and public sectors and broaden capabilities in the energy market, particularly those in the oil and gas and mining sectors.
When joining WHPacific, Jim noted “the structure and ideals of WHPacific and NANA are well-suited for these types of markets and company’s reputation and roots to the tribal nation and ethics support and enhance a corporation’s social responsibility program.”
“Jim has a diverse perspective and the necessary passion to drive our growing Water and Environment business line,” said Chief Operating Officer, Hal Keever.
Jim brings a variety of water and environmental experiences in the mining, and oil and gas industries which allows him to leverage his understanding of the service needs of these industries and connect them with WHPacific’s service offerings and disciplines. With more than 29 years of experience in executing environmental investigation/restoration, and water resource development projects, Jim’s progressive career advancement from technical roles to leadership positions includes a proven track record in negotiation, business development and strategic planning. His career includes positions at Schlumberger as Principal Hydrogeologist and Business Development Director, Vice President of Western Water Resources at amec Earth and Environmental, and Managing Hydrogeologist at other firms including Brown and Caldwell. Key project accomplishments include serving as project director for multiple federal Superfund sites, uranium mine closure, potash exploration and resource development and; development of a transboundary aquifer management plans, and private groundwater supply development.
