The Alaska Club celebrates opening of new Anchorage facility, Studio at The Alaska Club
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – On Wednesday, March 22, in a private reception, The Alaska Club unveiled its new facility, Studio at The Alaska Club, formerly known as the Jewel Lake Express Club. The second floor is now home to a 1,600-square-foot hot yoga studio featuring a state-of-the-art heat and humidifying system, sound system and yoga instructors who teach a uniquely developed style of yoga that strengthens and empowers attendees.
In addition to the new hot yoga studio, the first floor of Studio at the Alaska Club received a complete renovation, which includes a functional training area, new strength and free-weight equipment, upgraded full-body strength training circuit and new cardiovascular equipment. The new Studio, located at 3841 W. Dimond Blvd., will continue to offer 24-hour access to cardio and weight training seven days a week.
“We strive to give our members a variety of classes and benefits, and we are excited to be able to add hot yoga to the list,” said CEO Robert Brewster. “The new hot yoga studio is a beautiful space where attendees will be able to unwind, relax and work up a sweat.”
Alaska Club gold and platinum members receive unlimited hot yoga classes and access to the facility as part of their existing membership benefits. Drop-in class rates are also available for silver members and non-members. Classes begin Saturday, April 1, and will include hot yoga, hot flow and yoga sculpt, with more slated for the future.
This April, Studio teachers will lead yoga practices at lululemon during the Sunday featured pop-up classes at their location in the 5th Avenue Mall in downtown Anchorage.
The Alaska Club’s network of statewide locations are designed to conveniently provide a wide-variety of fitness options, so that members can work out anytime, anywhere, anyway - the way fitness should be.
