SEARHC’s Ethel Lund Medical Center recently welcomed three new providers

JUNEAU, December 6, 2016 - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is pleased to welcome three new providers to the Ethel Lund Medical Center (ELMC). Dr. Kathy Wollner, MD, Dr. Vanessa Herring, D.O.,  and Alyssa Condon, PA-C each recently joined the staff at the Consortium’s Juneau primary care clinic.

Dr. Kathy Wollner received her Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University in Washington, DC, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She earned her medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago where she graduated with honors. Dr. Wollner did her Family Medicine Residency at Swedish Medical Center’s Cherry Hill campus in Seattle.  

A doctor of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Vanessa Herring received a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Agnes Scott College in Georgia. She then earned her Doctor of Osteopathy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Florida and did her residency at the Central Washington Family Residency Program in Yakima, Washington. 

Alyssa Condon, a Physician Assistant, comes to SEARHC after spending several years working for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, AK. She graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts and earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University – Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona.

ELMC Medical Director, Dr. Catherine Buley is extremely pleased to have such highly qualified and skilled medical staff in Juneau, saying, "Ethel Lund Medical Center is excited to welcome our new providers, Dr. Vanessa Herring, Dr. Katherine Wollner, and Alyssa Condon, Physician Assistant to the SEARHC Juneau Campus. They bring new skills and medical knowledge to our clinic which will benefit all of our patients."

Being able to meet the medical needs for  SEARHC patients is always a priority for the organization. Staffing outpatient clinics with such high-quality providers, medical staff, and administrative team members allow not only for optimal medical care but also more flexibility and convenience for patients in Juneau when scheduling appointments.
