Local orthopedic clinic to host reknown pediatric orthopedist for rare two-day clinic

Anchorage Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic’s Kenneth C. Thomas, M.D. hosts Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Vincent Mosca, M.D.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Oct. 7, 2016) – Vincent Mosca, M.D., fellowship-trained pediatric foot and ankle surgeon of Seattle Children’s Hospital, will be joining Anchorage Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic’s pediatric orthopedic surgeon Kenneth C. Thomas, M.D., for a unique, two-day collaboration that will treat pediatric patients suffering from bone, joint and muscle injuries or conditions. Drs. Mosca and Thomas will be seeing patients at 3831 Piper St., Suite S-220, on Oct. 13-14. Patients are encouraged to see Dr. Thomas prior to this two-day clinic for an assessment and determination if an additional evaluation by Dr. Mosca is needed. Dr. Mosca has been coming to Anchorage to treat pediatric patients twice a year for nearly 30 years. In Seattle, he is a professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and an academic full-time pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Seattle Childrens Hospital. His extensive training, research and experience make him an expert in pediatric foot and ankle orthopedics.

Dr. Thomas has been with Anchorage Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic since 2013. After graduating with his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Dr. Thomas received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center in Denver. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. After five years of residency, Dr. Thomas completed an orthopedic trauma surgery fellowship at Reno Orthopaedic Clinic, the busiest level II in the country.
