Speaker Edgmon Statement on the Passing of Dan Fauske
Juneau – Speaker of the House Bryce Edgmon (D-Dillingham) released a statement on learning of the passing of former Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) CEO Dan Fauske after a long battle with cancer.
“The State of Alaska owes of debt of gratitude to Dan Fauske for his steady leadership of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, which has helped address the housing needs of thousands upon thousands of Alaskans,” said Rep. Edgmon. “During his time with AHFC and the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation, hundreds of lawmakers turned to Dan Fauske for knowledge and guidance. He helped make Alaska a better place to live and he will be sorely missed.”
In addition to his work with AHFC and AGDC, Dan Fauske also worked for the North Slope Borough as Chief Financial Officer, Budget Director, and Chief Administrative Officer.
Last month, a bill naming the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation’s headquarters in Anchorage for Dan Fauske passed the Alaska Legislature by unanimous votes in the House and Senate. Governor Walker is scheduled to sign the bill into law on Saturday in the building named for Dan Fauske.
