American Seafoods Group Names Kevin McMenimen as new CFO
American Seafoods Group today announced Kevin McMenimen has been named the company’s Chief Financial Officer. “I am thrilled to have Kevin join our team as CFO,” said Chief Executive Officer Mikel Durham. “In his career, Kevin has distinguished himself as a professional with a proven track record of partnering with operations, sales, and manufacturing to deliver great results.”
After finishing his service as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force and the Minnesota Air National Guard, Kevin’s experience has ranged from working for multinational corporations Pillsbury and General Mills to smaller entrepreneurial, private-equity owned food businesses such as Michael Foods and Flagstone Foods—the latter a $700 million producer of healthy snacks, dried fruits, and nuts that was acquired by Tree House Foods during his tenure as CFO. Most recently, Kevin has served as CFO of Performance Optics, a global manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses where he led a major acquisition of a Korean competitor, increasing Performance Optics’ revenues by 60 percent.
“I am extremely happy to join the great team at American Seafoods,” said McMenimen. “The company’s solid financial position, its proven leadership and the professionalism and commitment of its employees made the position extremely attractive. I look forward to working with the company’s leadership and its financial partners as we continue to supply healthy and sustainable seafood products to our customers around the world.”
McMenimen holds a B.S.B from the University of Minnesota and a MBA from University of St. Thomas. He will assume his CFO duties on the first of November.
