Current company leader promoted

WINSTON, OR – Tim Cox has been named vice president of sales and marketing of Oregon Door. In this position, he will lead all sales and marketing operations and be integral in setting overall company strategy and development.

Cox joined Oregon Door in early 2010 on a temporary assignment. At the conclusion of that assignment he was appointed sales and marketing representative for Northern California/Reno and subsequently named director of sales and marketing in 2013. During his tenure, he has consistently increased sales during often challenging economic conditions and revitalized company marketing efforts.

Before joining Oregon Door, Cox worked in a variety of marketing, sales and management positions in the hospitality, consulting, and training industries. He is noted for building dynamic teams that achieve measurable results.

Cox is active in many industry associations including serving as chairman of the National Architectural Door Council and a member of the board of directors for the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA). He is a past chapter president for the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) and active in the US Green Building Council. As a LEED Green Associate and collaborator with other industry leaders on a variety of initiatives, Cox is a recognized pioneer in sustainability and green building in the architectural door industry.

Tim is a die-hard fan of the Oregon Ducks and an active member of the University of Oregon Alumni Association. “Green and yellow are the only colors that matter to me,” shared Cox, who is also known to be more often than not outfitted in Duck gear. If you want to know where Tim is on a fall Saturday all you have to do is look at the Oregon football schedule.

Cox has also developed an impressive record of community involvement and leadership serving a variety of organizations including the American Red Cross, American Camping Association, and several youth sports leagues and associations.

“Tim has demonstrated uncommon initiative and resourcefulness since the day he arrived,” stated Brian Bennett, vice president/general manager. “Our company’s commitment to sustainability and green building requires strong leadership and creativity. Tim’s background, drive and positive can-do attitude, I have no doubt will significantly contribute to our success as he accepts this new role.”

“I am excited about the opportunities ahead of us,” commented Cox. “As we navigate this period of growth and its recent associated issues while increasing our commitment to sustainable and environmentally-responsible manufacturing, I have no doubt that our company will thrive.”
