2016 Alaska Startup Week | Go Global AK! | July 26

WTC Participates in Alaska Startup Week 2016
Go Global AK! (July 26, 2016)
2016 Alaska Startup Week is going to be held on July 18 - August 1 in several cities around the state
In the past, this event has been promoted as the Alaska Entrepreneurship Week. The Alaska Startup Week is 10+ days of events and celebration of Alaskan communities that builds momentum and opportunity around innovation and entrepreneurship.
About Go Global AK!:

Did you know that 95% of the world's consumers live outside of the United States? Think about that for a minute. More than 9 out of 10 potential customers for your products or services are found overseas!

So, how do you reach them? By exporting, plain and simple. And, that's where we come into the picture.

For the past 29 years, WTC Anchorage has helped Alaskan companies to identify and pursue customers in overseas markets. We have the global WTC network - more than 300 centers in 90 countries - and a vast array of connections and relationships with U.S. and foreign trade agencies and trade promotion groups. Our staff here in Anchorage has more than 40 years of combined experience in providing Alaskans with the information, tools, and hands-on-assistance to help them build their businesses through international trade.
This year, on July 26th, during Alaska Startup Week, WTC will conduct Go Global AK!, a half-day workshop and seminar designed to introduce your company to the why and how of going global with your business. The event will include presentations on financing and marketing your overseas endeavors, navigating the legal issues, and offer you a host of local, state and federal resources to guide and support your efforts. Importantly, it will also include testimonials by fellow Alaskan entrepreneurs who have already taken their companies global and are willing to share their experiences with you.
