Northrim Bank Officer Graduates from Pacific Coast Banking School

Northrim Bank President and CEO Joe Schierhorn is proud to announce that Jim Culley, VP Commercial Loan Unit Manager, has recently graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School (PCBS). Jim has been with Northrim Bank in Fairbanks for five years, and has over 21 years of banking experience throughout Alaska.

PCBS is a three year program that, in partnership with the Graduate School of Business at the University of Washington, offers a unique combination of world class faculty, cutting-edge curriculum, and highly qualified participants that defines it as The Premier National Graduate School of Banking. The school is in its 79th year, boasts over 11,000 alumni, with hundreds serving as leaders of financial institutions across the country. PCBS utilizes its vast industry resources to provide tactics and strategies to deal with today’s most pressing banking issues.

Northrim has two additional officers currently enrolled in the three-year program at PCBS, Jason Criqui, Vice President, Commercial Loan Unit Manager, (in his 1st year) and Kelly McCormack, Vice President, Commercial Loans, (in his 2nd year). Northrim has long supported the learning opportunities provided through PCBS. In Northrim’s 27 year history, more than a dozen employees have graduated from PCBS. Michael Martin, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Northrim is a long time professor at PCBS.

“We are proud to have such a strong group of employees who are graduates of PCBS and believe that the additional training helps our customers and the community here in Alaska,” notes Joe Schierhorn, President and CEO of Northrim. Mr. Schierhorn is on the board of directors at the school.
