Anchorage, AK–Credit Union 1 (CU1) announced that Davina Napier, previous Senior Vice President of Lending, has been promoted to Chief Lending Officer.  Napier, who has over 20 years of lending experience in Alaska as well as a diploma from the Western CUNA Management School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, has held a multitude of past lending positions within Credit Union 1, including Consumer Loans Manager, Assistant Vice President of Consumer Loans, Vice President of Consumer Loans and SVP of Lending.
“Davina has truly demonstrated the Credit Union 1 way in her work with us over the past 21+ years. Having been promoted through our lending ranks, she knows lending inside and out and has been a critical part of many people-first initiatives during her time here,” says Credit Union 1 President/CEO, James Wileman. “Davina also led the effort to centralize our loan decisioning, allowing CU1 loan officers to focus more fully on our members’ individual needs. This has saved our organization time, allowed for better service, and set us on the path for future streamlining achievements.”
In her new position, Napier will be responsible for the credit union’s overall lending initiatives, including its Consumer Loans, Real Estate and Member Assistance Departments. She will also continue to oversee the organization’s standards for quality in providing service to its members, while ensuring compliance with state and federal lending regulations and internal policies.
