Leading up to our Fall Forum are two critical processes we need YOUR help with, our Top Business Awards and Position Submissions. See below for details.

Submit a position now through August 12
The Chamber's policy platform is created by YOU - the workers, patrons and employers that allow Alaskans live and thrive. Each year at our Fall Forum, the general membership of the Chamber convenes to adopt the policy positions that shape our advocacy efforts.

NOW is the time to submit a position to establish the legislative priorities of the organization for 2017. Proposed positions will be accepted through August 12.

To find our whether an issue of concern is already a position of the Chamber, view our 2016 Priorities and Positions here.

Positions must be submitted using our online position submission form. There you can view a position submission example as well as the Chamber's process and rules, principles and faqs. Once submitted, you will receive an email with a copy of your submission.

When in doubt, ask! Email Curtis W. Thayer with questions here.

Great work deserves statewide recognition
Do you know a small business that understands the importance of helping the community? Perhaps your local Alaska chamber of commerce has done an exceptional job on behalf of its members this year? Maybe a you know a great Alaskan whose contributions to Alaska go above and beyond?

If you can answer these questions please don't hesitate - nominate today! Nominations for our 2016 Top Business Awards are being accepted now through August 12.

To nominate, visit our Top Business Awards page or click on any of the award categories below and be redirected to their respective submission forms. View nomination examples as well as past recipients. Once submitted, you will receive an email with a copy of your nomination.
The award recipients will be announced and honored during the Top Business Awards Reception at the 2016 Fall Forum on Wednesday, October 12  at 7 p.m. at The Cannery Lodge in Kenai, Alaska.

Alaska Airlines wins Freedom Award
Please join us in congratulating long-time Alaska Chamber member, Alaska Airlines, for winning the 2016 Freedom Award!

Out of the more than 2400 nominated only 15 companies were selected to receive this year's award. This is also the first time the award has been presented to a company in Alaska. The 2016 Freedom Award recipients will be honored at a ceremony on August 26 at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
