Peter Briggs Elected as Fellow of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects
(L-R): Alan Duncan, Carol Craig, Jane Durante, Peter Briggs
Anchorage, AK – Corvus Design, Inc. Landscape Architecture and Planning is pleased to announce that founding principal Peter Briggs has been elected as a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA). Originally from the Northwest Territories (NWT), Peter served as the Northwest Territories Association of Landscape Architects representative to the CSLA board for 6 years prior to serving as president of the Society. Passionate about landscape architecture, he has maintained strong pan-northern connections and works to advance the profession in the North within Canada and the United States.
Induction to the College of Fellows is the highest honor the CSLA bestows on its members. With extensive involvement with the CSLA, his nomination was for “service to the profession”. In addition to his board service and his role as president, his contributions included: over ten years of service on the editorial board of Landscapes/Paysages (CSLA national magazine), sitting on the World Landscape Architecture Month committee since its inception, and chairing the committee for the Society’s recent strategic plan update. He has also served as president for the Alaska Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and been involved at the local and national level in the US.
