PDC Opens New Valley Office

Palmer, AK – April 20, 2015 – PDC Inc. Engineers (PDC) is pleased to announce it is “Growing with the Valley” with the opening of a new multi-discipline engineering, planning, and survey office located at 209 W. Cedar Avenue in downtown Palmer.

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) is the fastest growing region in the State and PDC is dedicated to helping its’ communities continue to grow and prosper. The office will be staffed by representatives from our mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering departments.  The office will also be supported by PDC’s multi-disciplined staff of planners, GIS specialists, fire protection and environmental engineers, commissioning agents, sustainability specialists, as well as land surveyors. With a full staff of 84, PDC provides a one-stop shop for all of the Valley’s planning and engineering needs.

PDC has been providing professional services in the Valley for many decades which continue on to this day with a number of notable projects.  PDC is currently providing the mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering for the new $17.5M Dena’ina Elementary School and the new $17M Iditarod Elementary School both due to begin construction this year.  Other current projects include a seismic evaluation of Palmer High School, district-wide HVAC upgrades, as well as district-wide energy upgrades to 23 MSBSD facilities.  PDC’s planning and GIS team also completed a Safe Routes to School evaluation of 17 MSBSD schools.
