New hires at CRW September 15,2017

CRW Welcomes New Employees Local firm hires personnel in their Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Communications groups.Anchorage, Alaska, September 15, 2017– CRW would like to welcome recent additions to the CReW.

We are excited to have them on board!

Matthew Haymes, EIT joined CRW in October 2016 as a Staff Civil Engineer. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, he graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor Degree of Engineering in Civil Engineering. His experience working on highway and rail improvements has proved a valuable asset to his current work providing structural engineering, site inspections, report writing, and design services on a wide range of CRW projects. During his off times, you can often find him on the slopes snowboarding or playing with his son and dog at local parks.

 

 

Civil Staff Engineer Ryan Kim, EIT joined CRW in March 2017. A lifelong Alaskan, he has a degree in Civil Engineering from UAA, and is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Civil Engineering Degree. He brings transportation engineering expertise to CRW, where he currently works on road projects and site planning, and conducts construction inspection. When not at work, he can be found indoor rock climbing, golfing with his family, and cross-country skiing.

 

 

 

 

Rebecca Venot, PE, a Water Treatment Project Engineer, joined CRW in March 2017. Originally from Colorado, she graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Master Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She began working on water treatment projects in Alaska when based in Seattle, and eventually moved to Alaska full-time in 2014. Her project management and communication skills complement her water infrastructure expertise. When not improving Alaskan water quality, you can find her skiing in the backcountry or biking on local the single-track trails.

 

Electrical Engineer Matthew Lund, PE joined CRW in July 2017. After graduating from UAA with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he was a jack of all trades at RBA Engineers, designing lighting, power, and electrical services as well as writing proposals and commissioning. Outside of work he can be found enjoying the Alaskan outdoors, and building his own computers.

 

 

 

 

 

Roz Kirkelie, a Graphic Designer, joined CRW in August 2017. She has worked around the country assisting non-profits through AmeriCorps, and served as the staff writer and photographer in the Navy’s Public Affairs Office in Florida before returning to her hometown of Eagle River. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from UAA in Graphic Design and Photography. In her spare time you can find her in the outdoors, weightlifting, and doing cross fit.
