R&M CONSULTANTS, INC.
R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M) is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Bentti to our Anchorage office team.
Emily joined R&M’s Environmental Group as an Environmental Specialist in January 2016. She will be responsible for ongoing regulatory compliance, permitting, environmental baseline monitoring, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, general contaminated sites work, NEPA impact analysis, SWPPP implementation and other related environmental services in support of highway, street, airport, site development, waterfront and other infrastructure projects.
“I love being at R&M,” said Emily. “The way each department works together on so many diverse projects is a great opportunity for me to contribute in the environmental field while also learning other aspects of our industry.”
Emily has more than eight years of environmental and public involvement experience. She is experienced in local, state and federal permitting, NEPA documentation, environmental site assessments, and land research and site acquisition. She has performed public outreach to rural areas and regulatory agencies to establish relationships and communicate project goals, and created project packages for agency and public presentations. She is experienced in working with tribal entities to understand culturally sensitive issues associated with project planning and construction. Emily has also been responsible for coordination with local utilities, planning staff, elected officials and residents on several design and construction projects to facilitate engineering solutions and ensure project success. Since joining R&M she has been preparing USACE permits for the Yakutat Ocean Cape Dock Fender System Repairs, and preparing USACE permits and writing agency coordination letters for the Valdez Harbor Municipal Harbor Improvements.
Emily has a B.S. in Environmental Science and Regional Planning from Washington State University. Originally from southeast Washington, she has been in Alaska for three and a half years. She loves having access to a great city like Anchorage, while still enjoying nature and mountain views. Emily spends her time with her one-year-old son Jackson and loves hiking, cooking and photography.
