Cindy Shake Inducted into Anchorage ATHENA Society
Cindy Shake of AECOM was inducted into the Anchorage ATHENA Society at the annual luncheon on March 30, 2015. The Anchorage ATHENA Society is a program of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce and local chapter of an international organization. The society describes its purpose as encouraging the potential of women as valued members and leaders of the business community.
Shake is an award-winning communication professional, who was named the 2014 Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association, Alaska Chapter. She was principal of a successful graphic design firm for over 25 years and has 30 years of combined professional experience in marketing, business development, management, communications, and graphic design.
Shake currently serves as a public affairs specialist at AECOM, where she supports a variety of environmental, engineering, planning, and permitting projects. She is also responsible for administering the AECOM internship program in Alaska. Shake has a long history of involvement with many organizations in the community, including the Spenard Farmer’s Market, Cook Inlet Literacy Council, Alaska Botanical Garden, Providence Alaska Medical Center and many others.
