Christine Gibbs earns CPSM Designation
R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M) is pleased to announce Christine Gibbs, CPSM has earned her Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) designation.
The CPSM certification is administered by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), the only marketing organization dedicated to creating business opportunities in the A/E/C industry. SMPS represents a dynamic network of 6,000+ marketing and business development professionals working to secure profitable business relationships for their design and building companies.
The CPSM credential is a voluntary certification designed to raise the professional standards and stature of marketing professionals, encourage self-assessment by offering guidelines for achievement in the profession, identify and award recognition to persons who have demonstrated knowledge of the practice, and influence the future direction of the profession. Christine met all the necessary requirements to take and pass a rigorous three-hour examination to earn her CPSM designation. The CPSM examination tests the knowledge of those individuals involved in marketing or business development for firms providing professional services. “I am very proud of Christine for achieving the CPSM designation,” says R&M Vice President Andrea Story, CPSM, “as a CPSM myself, I understand the commitment and hard work passing the exam required. This accomplishment highlights her commitment to the profession and elevates the competency of R&M’s marketing team.” There are currently six CPSMs in Alaska, including two at R&M.
Christine joined R&M in January 2012. She is a Senior Marketing Coordinator with more than six years of experience in business-to-business marketing, including strategic planning, graphic design, website design, and public communications. Since joining R&M, Christine has successfully led the proposal effort for many of R&M’s current projects including the City of Houston Community Impact Assessment and Comprehensive Plan Revision, the City of Seward Northeast Harbor Fish Cleaning Station project, and the Homer Deep Water Dock Expansion Feasibility Study. She is also responsible for external communications and supports the firm’s many marketing initiatives. Christine has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Public Communications from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and currently serves on the Board as the Programs Director, and actively participates in events with the Associated General Contractors of Alaska and the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce.
