Chris Black, PE Joins R&M’s Engineering Department

R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M) is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Black, PE to our Anchorage office team.
Chris joined R&M’s Engineering Department as a Project Engineer in January 2015. “At R&M, there are great people to work with and great benefits. I’m happy to be with the firm,” said Chris.
Chris brings more than 22 years of construction and civil engineering experience to the firm. His experience includes site and road design, water and wastewater systems, storm water collection systems, earthwork calculations, engineer cost estimates, traffic impact analysis and permitting. He has worked on projects for a variety of public entities, including the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility and Alaska Railroad Corporation. Since joining R&M, Chris has been providing civil design support on the Valdez New Harbor Development project. He has worked on utility design, and prepared bid documents and quantity estimates. Chris is also currently working on the Life House Clinic for the Chickaloon Village Tribal Council.
Chris has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage and is a professional civil engineer licensed in Alaska. He is a life-long Alaskan, born in Juneau, and has lived in Anchorage for more than 40 years. He calls the Jewel Lake area where he grew up home, and lives there along with his wife and two kids, a 21-year son and a 5-month-old baby girl.
