Tribal Energy Webinar Date Changed to May 4

Tribal Webinar on Energy Policy and Regulatory Environment Date Changed to Wednesday, May 4


The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy, in partnership with Western Area Power Administration, is pleased to present a webinar titled "Understanding the Energy Policy and Regulatory Environment" Wednesday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mountain Time. The original date of this webinar has changed from April 27 to May 4.

The webinar will highlight how a working knowledge of land use and energy regulations and policies can help streamline the development of energy projects on tribal lands. Get tips for navigating the maze of federal, regional, and state policies, rules, and regulations; discover how tribes can apply this knowledge in developing their own regulations and targets; and explore how tribal and inter-tribal policies, including community aggregation, can be implemented to promote tribal energy and economic sovereignty.

Webinar speakers will include:

  • Doug MacCourt, Senior Policy Advisor, Office of Indian Energy
  • Jana Ganion, Energy Director, Blue Lake Rancheria.
