Should politicians create a Fairbanks gas utility...?

If so, is it doing it right?

Should Alaska purchase a little Fairbanks natural gas utility and use dwindling state dollars to build it into a big utility?   If so, is it doing it right?  Will the project help or hurt consumers from Fairbanks to Mat-Su, Anchorage, Seward and Homer?  Does this project bring Alaska closer to tapping the Alaska Permanent Fund?
Today, we also note that Louisiana is beating British Columbia and maybe Alaska in the great LNG Export race.
