MEA Celebrates Kid Power with MEA's Got Talent 2016

Participants will be judged on submitted video entries


Palmer, AK: Matanuska Electric Association is seeking entries for the co-op’s first-ever MEA’s Got Talent competition which will select one lucky winner to perform at MEA Kids Day events with the Mat-Su Miners (July 13) and Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks (July 19).


Young people under the age of 18, who are dependents of an active MEA member, are eligible to enter the competition. Participants will be judged on submitted video entries.


“The Kids Day events with the Miners and the Chinooks have always been a family event,” says Julie Estey, Director of Public Relations, “This year we look forward to expanding that by involving our members in showcasing the talents of the youth in our service area.”


Three finalists will be selected from the entries and posted to the MEA YouTube channel on July 4, where members will be able to vote on their favorite entries. The video with the most likes by Thursday, July 7 at noon will be determined the winner of the competition.
