Attend Today's Webinar on Energy Policy and Regulatory Environment

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy, in partnership with Western Area Power Administration, is pleased to present a webinar titled "Understanding the Energy Policy and Regulatory Environment" today, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mountain Time.

The webinar will highlight how a working knowledge of land use and energy regulations and policies can help streamline the development of energy projects on tribal lands. Get tips for navigating the maze of federal, regional, and state policies, rules, and regulations; discover how Indian tribes can apply this knowledge in developing their own regulations and targets; and explore how tribal and inter-tribal policies, including community aggregation, can be implemented to promote tribal energy and economic sovereignty.

Webinar speakers will include:

  • Doug MacCourt, Senior Policy Advisor, Office of Indian Energy
  • Jana Ganion, Energy Director, Blue Lake Rancheria
  • Theresa Cole, Special Project Coordinator, Akwesasne Housing Authority.
