Secure Ballot Drop Boxes Open

Vote By Mail ballots can be dropped off instead of mailed



ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Municipality of Anchorage Clerk’s Office announces that  secure drop boxes for Vote By Mail ballot envelopes will be open beginning on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the following locations:


  • Alaska Airlines Center (UAA), 3550 Providence Drive
  • Clark Middle School (Mountain View), 150 Bragaw Street
  • Dimond High School (South Anchorage), 2909 W. 88th Avenue
  • Fairview Community Recreation Center (Fairview), 1121 E. 10th Avenue (in parking lot)


Election Officials opened the four secure drop boxes for voters’ use on Monday, March 20th and the drop boxes will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, April 4, 2017


Voters now have the option of dropping their Vote By Mail ballot envelopes in the secure drop boxes at any time of the day or night between now and when the polls close on Election Day.  Voters can save the cost of a first class stamp by using the secure drop boxes to submit their Vote By Mail ballot envelopes.  The ballot envelopes will be removed from the secure drop boxes daily.
