The Second Annual Ride AWAIC to be Held May 20th

Published:

May 16, 2017 - Anchorage, Alaska – The Diamond Girls Motorcycle Club and Abused Women’s Aid In Crisis (AWAIC) are announcing the Second Annual Ride AWAIC. This event is a motorcycle ride to help support AWAIC, Alaska’s largest domestic violence emergency safe shelter and provides a continuum of services to victims of domestic violence.

Ride AWAIC will take place on May 20, 2017, rain or shine. Riders are asked to arrive at The Rock Wood Fired Kitchen starting point at 10am to register and prepare for the 11am start. They will then ride north and make several stops along the way until they reach the finish at Denali Harley-Davidson in Wasilla, Alaska. The ride will end with a barbeque for all participants. There will be several prizes and drawings for all those who supported the cause, including individual riders and clubs.

During the post event barbeque a winner for the AWAIC raffle will also be drawn. Raffle tickets have been on sale for several weeks and will be sold during the event as well. There are three cash prizes.

“AWAIC is incredibly excited to be partnering with the Diamond Girls Motorcycle Club again on this ride,” mentioned Suzi Pearson, Executive Director for AWAIC. “They have promoted AWAIC’s mission and continue to connect us with strong relationships in the community.”

This event would not be possible without the many local business donations and sponsorships.
