Pick.Click.Give. Charitable Contributions Program brings in more than $2.7million for Alaska nonprofits from more than 26,000 individual donors.
Fantastic news for Alaskan nonprofits. Despite an uncertain state economy and a new Permanent Fund Dividend model, Alaskans have once again proven their generosity by pledging $2.7 million dollars to 668 Alaskan nonprofit organizations. 4.8% of Alaskans who filed for a Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) elected to give through the Pick.Click.Give. Charitable Giving program, demonstrating that Alaskans continue to give to the causes they care about in their local communities and across the state.
The Alaska Department of Revenue reports today that 26,128 Alaskans made 44,136 individual charitable gifts totaling $2,702,450 from their 2017 PFDs. Although this a slight decrease from our record years in 2015 and 2016, Alaskan generosity continues to shine through in challenging times. “We are inspired by the generosity Alaskans have shown this year and want to say thank you to everyone who gave through Pick.Click.Give. This shows tremendous support for all the great work our nonprofit organizations are doing across the state” said Sofia Fouquet, the Pick.Click.Give. Program Manager at the Alaska Community Foundation.
Pick. Click. Give. is coordinated through a partnership including the Permanent Fund Dividend Division of the Alaska Department of Revenue, the Rasmuson Foundation, the Alaska Community Foundation, United Way of Anchorage and The Foraker Group.
